Natalie is a Certified Post Partum and Infant Doula residing in Cumming Georgia with her husband and 8 children. She began her career 25 years ago as a labor and delivery nurse in North Georgia. After becoming a mother herself, she put her career on hold and took care of her family while taking night and day nanny jobs. She has many years of professional nanny and special care nanny experience. Mothers and newborns have always been her love. She is passionate about teaching new parents and helping families as they add a precious baby to their home. Natalie is expecting her first grandbaby in the Spring. 3 of her children were adopted with special needs and she has had 3 NICU babies as well. Making a difference in the lives of new parents is her greatest joy.
Bonding during the first few days and weeks is so important for mother and baby's emotional health and well being. Establishing a good milk supply through rest, nutrition and time at the breast is essential. A post partum doula helps you enjoy your new baby and your first weeks as you adjust to this new family life.
I will assist with nighttime feedings and diaper changes, allowing you to recover from childbirth and promote your own physical and emotional well-being. I am there to answer any questions you have a support you in your decision making.
I can help you establish a more predictable sleep schedule. By the end of a 12 week or longer contract, most babies are sleeping through the night using responsive sleep conditioning techniques.
Sometimes things don't go as planned and babies are born early or with special needs. I am comfortable with many special needs including feeding tubes and medical equipment. I am also available to assist in the NICU for overnight shifts.
Providing support for you and your partner at night ultimately promotes a healthier and more nurturing environment for the entire family, siblings included, easing feelings of jealousy.
Let me help you sleep by giving you the confidence of having an expert caring for your baby, assisting with feedings, cleaning bottles and pump parts, doing baby laundry, organizing baby supplies and being there to support you and your new baby in any way that I can.
When you look back on the early days after your baby is born, I want you to remember the love and joy you experience as a family. Having the night time support and rest you need decreases rates of post partum depression and anxiety.
Whether you need a few nights a week of support or 24 hour care, I would love to talk to you about what your family needs and come up with a plan to perfectly meet those needs. There is a retainer fee of 25 percent due at contract signing. This is applied to the end of the contract and hours are invoiced weekly.
Natalie brings over 25 years of experience to her clients including a background in mother/baby nursing, professional nanny and special needs nanny experience and many years of mothering 8 children, including multiple special needs and NICU babies.
I believe in providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for families as they bring a new baby home. Let my expertise and knowledge help your family thrive during what is usually a chaotic and exhausting time. You've waited your whole life for this. Make the investment in YOU. Your physical, emotional and mental health is worth it.
